(WGTD)---A driver being pursued by Mt. Pleasant Police lost control and crashed into a garage in a residential neighborhood early Thursday morning.
It happened in the 6000 block of Regency Hills Drive.
The driver—a 34-year-old man from Racine—was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to police, the garage and attached house were damaged to the extent that a village building inspector was summoned to evaluate the building’s structural integrity. Also damaged were two cars that were parked inside the garage.
The driver was cited for drunk driving—second offense, endangering safety and fleeing. He’s being held on a probation hold.
