(WGTD)---Racine police stormed a house in response to a report of a home invasion and exchanged gunfire with a suspect. Despite kids and adults in the house, just the suspect--a 42-year-old man from Racine--sustained a minor injury.
The incident began around 6 p.m. Tuesday when officers were summoned to a home on Racine's near north side in the 1100 blk. of Hamilton.
According to a news release, officers heard shots coming from inside the home and made the decision to enter. Officers "engaged" the suspect and he was arrested.
The Kenosha County Sheriff's Office is heading up the officer-involved shooting portion of the incident.
No other information was immediately released.
